Their younger sister, who is fresh out of highschool and in college quickly jumped in and explained simply and quite accurately:
"Blogging is where mom's go to brag about their kids!"
So here goes! haha
- Simply described as "ulu ka'e"! That's samoan for "short-fused" (atleast that's my translation).
- Calls Sa, "Sa". She knows "dada" but chooses to call him by his actual name.
- Calls me "PAY-OH". Don't know where she gets that from. It's neither "mom" nor "francine".
- Calls Reuben Studdard and Sonny B Williams "UNCLE"...hahahahaha...
- Favorite words: "dop!!" (stop), "some?" (some food, water, etc), "no!", "ace" (her little sister's name "Heiress"), "BICKY" (any animal), "ELMO" (refers to elmo or any other puppet on tv), "shoo-shoo" (shoes), "oh shoo-oh!" ("oh toodles!" from Mickey Mouse Club House), "dree, fi-thee, dree, fi-thee" ("one, two, three, four.."), "Wow!", "Feeeee!" (feet), and the best is "Ki-Ki" (which means "stinky"..she usually points to someone when she says that...so watch out!)
- She also signs to us for "food", "drink", "more", "please", body parts she wants attention towards, and if she has an "ow-eee", you have to kiss it or she'll slam that ow-eee into your unsuspecting lips... sorry!
- Whatever you do, don't tell her to "smile" for a camera.. because it's going to launch a million poses that's gonna end sadly and tearfully when cameras go away.
- This is my St. George baby. So I blame some of her prissy attitude and heated personality on that!... no offense...I love St. Gizzle.
- Seems like yesterday she was 7lbs and 6ozs... and now shes running around without skipping a beat... hmm... so this is what it's like huh?
Heiress "Saiga" Loulani Palepoi
Her nickname translates to "chinese", just remarking on her chingy eyes. I love 'em.
Not everyone was thrilled with the name we picked for her. I sometimes think I might've given her a bold name but with that I feel confident that we'll keep her in check and live up to her name in the aspect of our religious beliefs. If anyone questions us about her name, being that it's "Heiress", and what she stands to inherit - - - - I simply answer: "all of Coretta's hand-me-downs!"
- Very, very, laid back. She has no bone to pick with anyone. Anyone wins when they try to fight with her because she easily gives in (except when she's really hungry).
- Isn't easily bothered by much. She isn't scared of most things. She only gets anxious when daddy leaves the room and leaves her behind! (boy those little feelings are so easily crushed by such things!)
- A true "Daddy's little girl"! My eldest? - not so much. Heiress, though, is glued to her dad's side; won't let him out of her sight or reach! No joke there! Thank goodness she's asleep when he leaves for work! How rough would our mornings be if she was awake for that???
- She always sits with her legs folded underneath her! It drives me nuts! But would you believe it? She understands "FIX YOUR LEGS!"... It takes a bit of effort but she swings 'em back around before her older sister comes and forces her to do it! haha...
- She has an obsession with pulling hair! You can be a total stranger, but if your hair is within her grasp - it's definitely going to get yanked!!! This is a "kind" warning!
- She learnt how to climb up the stairs before standing! I don't know if that's the norm, but it's quite a workout to keep track of her now that she's learning to get up on her own two feet these days!
- At this stage of her life she is still learning much about her growth. Just getting her first teeth in, claps and waves at anything, loves to spill and eat anything and everything and I'm so sad she's growing up so fast like her sister!!! dannnnng...
I love being a mommy! And for those of you who aren't yet or thinking of it - It's worth more than you can imagine!!!
